Bisping vs. GSP
George St. Pierre returns to the ring on Saturday, November 4th to take on the current middleweight division champ Michael Bisping.
This is certainly an ambitious return match for GSP. While St. Pierre holds two titles in the welterweight division, he hopes to be one of few who holds titles in multiple weight classes by competing in the middleweight class for this match. In addition to facing the challenges of competing in a different weight class, GSP has been absent from UFC for the past four years and sustained a serious ACL injury in 2011. Despite these challenges GSP is considered one of the best MMA fighters and one of the most well-rounded fighters in UFC.
Michael Bisping boasts an equally impressive pedigree. Bisping emerged on the scene as light heavyweight with UFC 78 as the first British fighter in a UFC main event. However, Bisping decided to change weight classes too. It wasn't until he competed in the middleweight division that he saw success. At UFC 199 he became the first English person to win a UFC championship and did so with a round one knockout.
